4th Annual Wiregrass Golf Tournament

Saturday, August 14, 2010.

The Wiregrass Festival Committee is pleased to announce it will hold its annual golf tournament in conjunction with the 7th Annual Wiregrass Festival on Saturday, August 14, 2009. Sign up will begin at 7:30 am and Shotgun at 8:00 am. This will be the first golf tournament at the anxiously awaited new 18 holes at the beautiful Brazell Creek Golf Course located in the Gordonia-Alatamaha State Park in Reidsville.

4th Annual Miss Wiregrass Festival Pageant

Saturday, September 11, 2010 at 7:00 pm. Ages 0-9 & 10-20.

The Registration Fee for the pageant is $40 per contestant and an additional $10 if they want to compete in the Most Photogenic category. Applications can be obtained at the old County Courthouse in Room 202, the Glennville Sentinel office, the Tattnall Journal office, from Wanda Blair at Pizazz, and from the County Commissioners Office on the 1st floor of the old County Courthouse. The Wiregrass Festival sponsors invite all Antique & Classic Automobile and Truck Owners to participate in our fifth annual people's choice car show. This event proved to be one of the main attractions during our previous Wiregrass Festivals.

The "Tattnall Invincibles," a Civil war reenactment group, will be setting up a campsite again this year. Stop by and visit with our local re-enactors.

Our “Kiddie Korral” will feature a bounce house, a huge slide, a train ride, pony rides, a fishing pond and much more!

Diaper Derby

5th Annual Diaper Derby

Join us for the fith annual Diaper Derby. This is a fun-filled non-competitive event for crawling children. Bring the entire family and enjoy the fun as the babies crawl, creep and wander their way across the track. The contest is open to all babies that crawl but do not walk. The Grand Prize Winner will receive a basket of prizes for the baby and parents.

Ribbons will be awarded for each heat. 1st place winners will compete for the title:
Lil' Wiregrass Diaper Derby Baby.

Participants: After sending in your application, detailed information concerning the festival and booth setup procedures will be mailed to you on September 15th. Canopies may be placed to cover your booth. Booths will be assigned in a first-come, first-served basis. The cost of each 14' X 14' booth will be $40.00.

The display area will be held around the Tattnall County Courthouse.
